How Can I Keep the Cost Down?

That doesn't mean every app has to be expensive. Starting with a focused MVP can help control the initial investment while leaving room to expand later.

More functionality = more development, testing, and integration work.

Why do app development prices vary so much?

Ultimately, it depends on the company and the developer. Most companies will charge at a higher rate, with some starting at $15,000-$30,000, because you're paying for an entire team, not just an individual developer.

Smaller companies and individual developers tend to be lower in price because they have fewer team members and less overhead.

What does an app cost after it's built?

The initial development cost isn't always the only cost to consider. Depending on your app, there may be ongoing expenses after launch.

Ongoing Support Options

Larger features, complex integrations, redesigns, or major backend changes are quoted separately.

Prefer Not to Subscribe?

One-time maintenance is also available.

Small fixes start at $50, moderate updates or repairs start at $100, and small new screens or feature additions start at $250. Larger changes are quoted based on project scope before work begins.

If the issue is caused by something I originally built incorrectly, there is no charge to fix it.

Some apps may also have costs for hosting, third-party services, Apple or Google developer accounts, or new features you decide to add later. Not every app will have all of these costs.

Before we start your project, I'll explain which ongoing expenses apply to your app so you know what to expect both now and after launch.

Is a Custom App Worth the Investment?

A custom app can be worth the investment if it solves a real business problem, saves time, improves the customer experience, supports revenue, or gives you functionality that other tools can't provide.

But a custom app isn't always the right solution.

If a website, existing software, template platform, or simpler tool can do what you need for less money, that may be the better choice. The right answer depends on your goals, budget, users, and how important the app is to your business.

Before moving forward, ask yourself:

• What problem will this app solve?
• How often will people use it?
• What happens if I don't build it?
• Is there a simpler way to accomplish the same goal?

Ultimately, whether it's worth it depends on your goals, your budget, and the problem you're trying to solve.

What Happens If I Cancel My Project?

Payments already made are non-refundable because they cover development work that has already been completed. If you decide to stop the project before it is finished, you will not be charged for future milestones that have not yet been reached. Any payment already due for completed work remains due.

Can I Pause My App Project?

Yes. If something comes up and you need to temporarily pause your project, please let me know as soon as possible. During the 30-day pause, no new milestone payments will be due unless work for that milestone has already been completed.

Because development time is scheduled in advance, I cannot guarantee that your project will resume immediately when you are ready to restart. Your project will be placed back into the development schedule based on current availability.

After the pause time is completed, I may need to review the remaining scope, timeline, and pricing before development resumes, especially if software requirements, third-party services, or the project itself have changed.

If a project is paused for more than 30 days, it will be considered inactive. When the client is ready to resume, the remaining scope and timeline will be reviewed, and the project will be rescheduled based on current availability.
